Film Festival Pictures |
| I'll upload my own in a bit, but the
festival site uploaded
their own and they look pretty good. There's a good one of me
signing the festival poster. It was such a great time and I met some
really great people - including but not limited to Mike
Enright and the guy who does Frylock's
voice. The family all came out and showed serious support. Thanks
to everyone who was there and who made it possible! Such a great time. |
Hello,
My Name is Joe
at the Philadelphia Film Festival! |
| My first Wire Sculpture Stop Motion
Film, "Hello My Name is Joe,"
will have its East Coast premiere at the Philadelphia
Film Festival which screens from April 5 - 18th. My film will
most likely be part of the "Cartoons for Big Kids" program,
and may hopefully be followed by a Cartoon Network sponsored cabaret
after party. I will have more info as it becomes available to me and
photos of the event afterwards. Cheesesteaks in April, Man! |

Experimental Animation Showcase Now Online! |
| The Experimental
Animation Showcase from my first year at CalArts is now online.
You can check out "Hello, My Name is Joe" by me, but also
the work of my classmates. I play a small supporting role in Jeremy
Schwartz's fascinating film, "Plexeria." Also, check out
Hlynur Magnusson's "Utopia," Pablo Calvillo's "The
King" and "Chloroplast," and all the other films too.
The kids in my program are amazing artists, each with incredibly unique
visions. If you're still bored after all that, you should navigate
back and check out the Character
Animation Showcase as well as the other
ones. See how much culture you get when you come to dillonmarkey.com? |
